Cathodoluminescence

The Centaurus detector is a dual purpose detector (BSD or Cathodo) which can collect data over wide ranges of frequencies using different photomultiplier tubes (185 - 850nm and 400-1200nm). The highly sensitive detector uses an advanced mirror design to obtain data at the lowest possible probe currents and accelerating voltages, used on a wide range of specimens including geological, biological and pharmaceutical areas as well as anything that will fluoresce under exposure to the electron beam.
