Micro X-Ray Fluorescence

Orbis micro-XRF inorganic elemental analyzer Orbis micro-XRF inorganic elemental analyzer

EDAX’s new Orbis micro-XRF inorganic elemental analyzer system sets a new standard in analytical flexibility. The Orbis incorporates a unique motorized turret for coaxial sample view and X-ray analysis. Primary beam filters can be used with X-ray optics for tailored micro to millimeter spot elemental analyses. Orbis micro-XRF measurements are non-destructive, require minimal sample preparation and offer improved sensitivity over SEM/EDS. Applications include forensics and material identification

A new level of Speed and Accuracy M4 TORNADO is a ultra-fast tabletop µ-XRF spectrometer

The M4 TORNADO is a ultra-fast tabletop µ-XRF spectrometer for the analysis of all kinds of samples, especially for non-homogenous or even samples with irregular shapes and rough surfaces. The large sample chamber accommodates a wide variety of sample sizes. The system can either be used in vacuum mode - for the detection of light elements - or in ambient air. Using a micro focus X-ray tube in combination with polycapillary optics the M4 TORNADO can attain spot sizes down to 25 µm (for Mo-K radiation).
