YAP (Yttrium Aluminum Perovskite) and YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) scintillators for scanning electrons microscopes offer very fast response time and withstand well to the bombardment by electrons or ions far better than plastic or phosphor scintillators. P-47 scintillators have a high signal output and a good working life. Light pipe scintillators are available in optical quality quartz and optical grade acrylic.
