Photron produces high speed video camera systems for slow motion analysis of microscopy phenomena that occur to fast for the eye to see unaided. High-speed imaging products include the SV-200i that utilizes a Gen III image intensifier to image bioflourescence at 512 by 512 pixel resolution at speeds as high as 2,000 fps (frames per second). The FocusScope utilizes a real time image processor to analyze 1,000 fps high speed images to identify in-focus pixels from a piezoelectric actuator controlled microscope objective lens to produce 30 fps (NTSC) of amazing in focus imagery with an actual depth of focus in excess of 130 microns. Both Photron cameras can be affixed to a conventional compound microscopes camera port and do not interfere with its operation.
