Silver Spring, Maryland – October 25, 2005 - Media Cybernetics announces the release of IQbase 2.0, the enterprise image asset management software. Along with database enhancements,
this IQbase upgrade features new display, measurement, and collaboration tools that enable organizations to store, query, and share scientific or industrial images and data.
Database Enhancements
IQbase 2.0 offers new features for improved usability. Performance enhancements enable users to run advanced analytical tools while maintaining the same speed of searching, sorting and storing
found in operating systems. Support for Active Directory allows log-in and security levels to be managed using Microsoft® Windows identities and relationships. New functionality allows
IQbase users to export archived images to their Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
New Measurement, Display & Data Mining Tools
New analytical tools enable IQbase users to uncover information in archived images. Measurement tools allow users to apply a variety of measurements to images and archive the resulting data. The Digital
Lightbox tool makes it easy to visually compare images side-by-side or by overlaying them. Data mining additions include 3D scatterplots and the ability to search for keywords inside Microsoft
Office documents.
Improved Online Interface
Images stored in IQbase databases can be accessed from any Internet-accessible location using the optional IQbrowser interface. Once visitors are logged-in to IQbrowser, they can locate archived
images through browsing or complex Boolean searches.
