WetSEM in a Scanning Electron Microscope

The QX capsules based on QuantomiX proprietary WETSEM™ technology, permits viewing of wet and hydrated samples in a SEM without the need to freeze or dehydrate the samples. Viewing samples in their original state is a time and cost saver, as well as being a breakthrough in electron microscope imaging capabilities for the biological science, pharmaceutical, and health care industries.

Rat sciatic nerve was fixed with formalin and stained with 0.1% osmium tetroxide for 30 min. Cross section was imaged using the QX-302 capsule.
Zebra fish larva was stained with 0.1% uranyl acetate for 10 minutes and imaged in QX-302 capsules.
The stigma of a wet arabidopsis fixed in formalin and stained with 0.1% osmium tetroxide for 15 min. One stoma is also seen as the mouth-shaped structure.

Electron Microscopy Sciences has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with QuantomiX Ltd., for distribution of the unique line of QX capsules in the United States.
