Guide to Microscopes and Microanalysis

Raman Spectroscopy

Raman spectrometers provide non-destructive chemical analysis at macro- and microscopic levels. Specimens are illuminated with a laser and the light scattered by the material is used to measure the vibrational frequencies of molecules. The spectroscopic "fingerprint" reveals the identity of molecules.

Raman Microspectrometers

UV-visible-NIR microspectrometersCRAIC Technologies’ Raman microspectrometers enable Raman spectroscopy of microscopic samples with multiple excitation wavelengths.  Designed to be robust, fast and easy-to-use, these sensitive instruments are able to measure on the microscopic scale. Confocal Raman Microscopes

Confocal raman microscopes can analyze a 1 microm diameter sample and combined with microscope automation chemical maps of the sample can be produced.

Making Raman one of the most productive non-destructive techniques in your lab, Thermo offers the Nicolet Almega XR dispersive Raman microscope and the NXR FT-Raman spectrometer, featuring Thermo's exclusive MicroStage FT-Raman microscope. Contact Thermo Fisher Scientific
