Raman Spectroscopy

Raman spectrometers provide non-destructive chemical analysis at macro- and microscopic levels. Specimens are illuminated with a laser and the light scattered by the material is used to measure the vibrational frequencies of molecules. The spectroscopic "fingerprint" reveals the identity of molecules.
